Sullivan is located in Cheshire County, New Hampshire.  It was incorporated in 1787 and named after General John Sullivan.   The town was created from portions of Keene, Nelson, Gilsum and Stoddard. 

Sullivan is comprised of 18.5 square miles of land and .2 square miles of water.  The peak of Boynton Hill is the highest point in the town.

According to the 2000 U.S. Census Bureau, Sullivan’s population at the time included 746 people, 208 families and 282 households. The average family size was 3.0 and the average household size was 2.65.
