Deerfield is located in Rockingham County, New Hampshire.  It is bordered to the North by Northwoods, to the South by Candia and Raymond, to the east by Nottingham, and to the west by Espom.  It is just 20 miles from Manchester, and 65 miles from Boston.  It’s central location and natural architectural beauty. 

Deerfield was settled before the 1770’s.  That period was a time of clearing the forests, building houses, and settling the land.  Deerfield has been home to the annual Deerfield Fair, known as New England’s Oldest Family Fair, since 1876.  Once a farm town, Deerfield’s old farms and lakes  later became summer vacation spots for toursists.  

According to the 2000 U.S. Census Bureau, Deerfield’s population at the time was 3,678 people.  This included 1,225 households and 986 families.  The average family size was 3.27 and the average household size was 2.98.  Deerfield is comprised of 50.9 square miles of land and 1.4 square miles of water.

Deerfield Real Estate and Homes:  In 2000, there were 1,406 homes and 28 homes (houses / condos) per square mile.  In 2007, it was estimated that real estate in Deerfield was comprised of a total of 1,734 homes.  This included 1,537 single family houses and 113 multi unit homes.
